The groups will be divided into teams to compete in the preparation of the dishes. Each team will have a spokesperson and the members will have to choose a name for both the team and the final dish, taking into account the ingredients and presentation during the cooking class lessons as part of the event.
The teams have to create their dishes from a selection of ingredients, visible to all, which allow them to prepare starters, first courses, second courses and desserts.
Fruit and vegetables, flour, eggs, cheese, milk, biscuits, meat, wine, beer, preserves, chocolate, jam, spices, herbs and more are all available. Additionally, there are knives, mixers, chopping boards, ovens, stoves, refrigerators, pasta machines, and more for preparation.
For the first 15 minutes, the team members share their ideas and then decide together which dish to make. This moment is crucial in a cookery course, as it determines the strategy and creativity of the group.
Each team will have one mandatory ingredient to use and can ask the chef for three helpers. The use of the internet to find recipes will not be allowed, this is essential to maintain the essence of the culinary team building experience, based on cohesion and mutual support, essential for a cohesive and winning group.
During the challenge, chefs and team spokespeople will judge dishes on originality, innovation, taste, and presentation. The overall experience is enhanced through these cooking class lessons.
